About Us

The LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association (South Central Zone) is the formally recognized and democratically elected body representing the interests of Other Backward Classes (OBC) employees within the Life Insurance Corporation of India across the states of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.

Established to uphold constitutional safeguards and promote equitable opportunity, the Association operates through a structured network of Divisional Units across all 17 LIC offices in the zone. We are dedicated to ensuring the rightful implementation of reservation policies in recruitment, promotions, training, and welfare measures.

Through sustained dialogue with LIC management, strategic advocacy, and targeted development initiatives, we empower our members, address grievances, and foster a professional environment defined by dignity, inclusion, and growth. Our work extends beyond representation to include skill development, legal guidance, and community solidarity—strengthening both individual careers and the collective voice of OBC employees within LIC.

Guided by transparency and unity, we are committed to advancing professional equity and contributing to an inclusive organizational culture in the South Central Zone.

Our Core Values

Our values define our character, guide our decisions, and shape our actions as an association dedicated to serving OBC employees across LIC’s South Central Zone.

Integrity and Transparency

We operate with honesty, accountability, and openness in all our dealings, ensuring that every action and decision is communicated clearly to our members and stakeholders.

Equity and Justice

We are committed to upholding constitutional safeguards, fair representation, and the rightful implementation of reservation policies across all levels of recruitment, promotion, and training.

Unity and Solidarity

We foster a strong, collective identity among OBC employees, standing together to address challenges and advance shared goals across all 17 divisional offices.

Professional Excellence

We encourage continuous learning, ethical conduct, and leadership development, empowering members to achieve their highest potential within LIC and beyond.

Collaborative Engagement

We believe in working constructively with LIC management, fellow associations, and national bodies to influence policy, resolve issues, and create meaningful change.

These values are the foundation of our identity and the principles that drive us forward—every day, in every action, for every member.

Our Vision

We envision an LIC where OBC employees achieve full professional equity and dignified advancement. Our goal is an inclusive workplace where diversity drives excellence, constitutional rights are realized, and every member has a clear path to leadership and holistic growth.

Beyond individual careers, we see our Association as a catalyst for institutional change. We strive to partner with LIC in building systems and a culture where equity is woven into the organizational fabric, ensuring sustainable progress for future generations. Our vision is one of mutual success, where the collective advancement of OBC employees strengthens the integrity, innovation, and public trust in the Life Insurance Corporation of India itself.

Our Mission

Our mission is to enforce OBC reservation policies in all LIC processes. We represent members through structured advocacy, resolve grievances via management dialogue, and empower careers through targeted development programs, ensuring rightful progression and welfare.

To fulfill this mission, we are committed to building a resilient and informed community. We foster unity through continuous engagement, knowledge-sharing, and collective action, ensuring that every voice is heard and every right is protected. By combining vigilant oversight with constructive partnership, we aim to transform policy into tangible opportunity, creating a legacy of empowered professionals and a more just workplace for all.
