GENERAL BODY MEETING REPORT

1. Introduction

A General Body Meeting of the LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, Shivamogga Division, was held on 18 October 2026 at LIC Shivamogga Branch, with the participation of All India Association office bearers, South Central Zone office bearers, divisional representatives, and members.

The programme was organised by Sri Pundalik Waychal, Karnataka Regional Organising Secretary, LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, South Central Zone (SCZ), and hosted by Sri Vikranth K. J. and Sri Ramesh.

The programme was presided over by Sri C. H. Hadimani, Vice President, LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, South Central Zone, in the presence of Sri Vijay Kumar Gangaputra, Joint Secretary, All India LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, and Sri Ramachandra Adaragi, Executive Committee Member, All India LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association.

2. Felicitation of All India Association Office Bearers

Representatives of Dharwad Division, Belagavi Division, Shivamogga Division, and Mysore Division, under the South Central Zone, felicitated Sri Vijay Kumar Gangaputra, Joint Secretary, and Sri Ramachandra Adaragi, Executive Committee Member, All India LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, in recognition of their selection to the All India Association.

The representatives congratulated both leaders and conveyed their best wishes as they undertook their responsibilities at the All India level. The felicitation reflected the unity and collective spirit of the four Karnataka divisions.

3. Newly Elected Office Bearers – Shivamogga Division

The following office bearers were elected to the LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, Shivamogga Division.

4. Resolutions Adopted

The meeting discussed organisational development and adopted the following resolutions.

Resolution 1: Visits to All Branches

The newly elected office bearers shall visit all branches under Shivamogga Division on or before 15 November 2026 to interact with members, understand their concerns, and strengthen communication between the divisional association and branch-level members.

Resolution 2: General Conference

The next meeting to plan and finalise the General Conference shall be convened after completion of the branch visits. The date and other arrangements for the General Conference will be discussed at that meeting.

Resolution 3: Opening of Association Bank Account

Necessary steps shall be taken to open a bank account in the name of the LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, Shivamogga Division, to facilitate systematic and transparent management of association funds.

Resolution 4: Membership Drive

A comprehensive membership drive shall be undertaken through physical outreach and the association’s website. Office bearers and members shall encourage eligible OBC employees to join the association and participate in its activities.

6. Organisation and Vote of Thanks

The programme was organised by Sri Pundalik Waychal, Karnataka Regional Organising Secretary, LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, South Central Zone, and presided over by Sri C. H. Hadimani, Vice President, LIC OBC Employees Welfare Association, South Central Zone.

Sri Vikranth K. J., President-elect, Shivamogga Division, and Sri Ramesh, General Secretary-elect, Shivamogga Division, hosted the programme.

The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Sri Ramesh, General Secretary-elect, Shivamogga Division, who expressed gratitude to the All India Association office bearers, zonal office bearers, divisional representatives, members, organisers, and hosts for their presence and cooperation.
